Whether beginner, intermediate or advanced there's a bokeh photographic training course for you! You are most probably not taking better photographs and your images are in all probability mediocre despite the significant amount of money you have just spent on the very latest ‘indispensable’ photography kit. The trouble is advances in digital camera technology seem paradoxically to have had the opposite effect to that intended! Help is at hand. You may be an absolute beginner with a camera stuck in automatic mode who presses the button and simply hopes for the best. Alternatively, you might be an intermediate or advanced photographer looking to take specific photography skills to the next level. Whatever your photography training requirements there’s a bokeh photographic Photography Training Course for you. Approaching my tenth year of providing photography training, I cater for all abilities, all genres and all cameras. Unlike other courses I actively teach key photographic skills via intensive field-based training that systematically covers essential camera theory by working step-by-step through practical use of a camera in various real-life photographic scenarios. In doing so I demystify photographic jargon – there’s a lot of it – and thoroughly explain not just the ‘how’ and ‘why’ but also the ‘pros & cons’ of each technique so that you gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to deal with almost any photographic eventuality. Individual training needs are identified in a pre-training consultation and training is either one-to-one or small group (maximum 6 people) to ensure that each participant has optimal instruction and supervision. In addition to expert tuition at a pace that suits you, personalised summary notes are emailed to you after each session. Different bokeh photographic courses can be combined to maximise your learning and a popular option is to undertake a follow-up practical workshop at six to eight weeks to consolidate the photography skills you have learnt.
In addition to fully bespoke one-to-one training (i.e. where you state what you would like to be trained in), the most popular bokeh photographic Photography Training Courses include:
An intensive half or one-day training course designed for beginners struggling to get to grips with their camera in addition to intermediate-level photographers wishing to refresh their skills. Participants gain the skills and confidence to take full control of their camera through using full manual and semi-automatic modes. Suitable for all digital Single Lens Reflex (SLR), bridge and compact cameras.
A half or one-day training course designed for those new to shooting in RAW format as well as photographers wishing to refresh their post-production skills. Participants learn about the benefits of shooting in RAW and are guided through the steps of RAW conversion to JPEG, TIFF etc. The course also highlights strategies to improve post-production workflow including ‘plug-ins’ and batch processing. Suitable for all versions of Camera RAW, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom.
A half or one-day training course designed for those new to shooting with external flash as well as photographers wishing to refresh their strobe photography skills. Participants learn about the fundamental differences between ambient light and flash and the use of flash as a key (main) and fill (secondary) light. The course also covers how on-camera and off-camera flash can be used to dramatically alter the look and feel of images. Suitable for all external ‘hotshoe’ flashgun units (e.g. Speedlites) as well as studio flash and strobes. Please note that the course is not intended for in-built ‘pop-up’ flash.
